Crown Maple at Madava Farms boasts it has quite possibly the purest organic maple syrup on earth.
The sustainability-focused Dover Plains, N.Y., operation started as a small maple syrup producer in 2010, but is on track to become among North America’s largest maple syrup manufacturers and distributors. A popular Hudson River valley tourism destination with more than 800 acres at Madava Farms, Crown Maple offers food, fare, dining, education, entertainment, and retail services.
As Crown Maple grew, it discovered Intuit® QuickBooks® could not keep up with its growing requirements for inventory management, flexible reporting, and integrating to eliminate manual processes and spreadsheets. “We have six companies under one holdings company. It is a complicated setup, but Microsoft Dynamics GP and SalesPad have the power to handle it all,” said Kerri Tiano, Crown Maple’s Financial Operations Manager.
SalesPad Desktop’s Quick Reports have created an efficient time-savings approach that is “fun, … easy to use” and customizable.
“I used to spend at least three hours a month on a commission report,” Tiano said. “Now, it takes me just 10 minutes; in a couple of clicks, it is done. ... Quick Reports makes my life so much easier.”
SalesPad MobileBoards has become a mainstay for operations, said Annette Cantilli, Chief Financial Officer.
““All of us on the management staff look at sales stats on our phones constantly. We can scroll through screens that show sales summary, sales by customer, sales by product and a pipeline report. When I’m at home or traveling, SalesPad MobileBoards is my bible,” she said.
“When I’m at my desk, the first software I open is SalesPad, and throughout the day, I’m looking at the Sales Monitor screen. This software shows me exactly what’s being invoiced and what’s being shipped. It’s a wonderful snapshot.”
