by salespad on February 16, 2016

The Association of Dynamics Professionals last fall graduated its inaugural group of certified professionals for Microsoft Dynamics GP and NAV.

Testing by the association certified that:nearly six dozen professionals had enough general knowledge of Dynamics products to earn what it’s calling Core Certification. The inaugural graduates included three managers from InterDyn BMI, Krystal Heffley, Sandy Wickman, and AJ Ansari; and Amber Bell, of CAL Business Solutions.

Microsoft had ended professional certifications for GP, NAV, and Microsoft Dynamics SL in 2014, according to Microsoft Dynamics World.  In March 2015, just before Microsoft Convergence 2015 at DPC Pregame in Tampa, The Association of Dynamics Professionals — also known as Dynamics Pro — was formed as an independent non-profit to serve the Microsoft Dynamics community.

“Certification is an important way for individuals to develop their skills and enhance the value they are able to add to their clients and employers,” said Paul White, Microsoft’s senior director of ERP management, in a statement.

Dynamics Pro has announced another round of proctored testing for Microsoft GP and NAV starting February 23.

It is offering professional certifications in the Dynamics areas of:

  • GP core financials setup and functionality.
  • GP core installation and configuration.
  • NAV core installation and configuration.

In addition, the Dynamics GP core financials exam is being offered by Dynamics Pro in three sessions October 14 to 16 at GPUG Summit 2016 in Tampa.

Dynamics Pro is planning to add advanced and master certification levels down the road.

Dynamic Communities, Inc., is the organization behind Dynamics GP User Group (GPUG®), Dynamics AX User Group (AXUG®), Dynamics CRM User Group (CRMUG®), and Dynamics NAV User Group (NAVUG®).

Dynamics Communities Executive Director Brian Deming says: “The organization fills a great need in the Dynamics ecosystem.”
